Weekly Summary

Term 3 Week 6

In literacy we are learning about -

* Report writing - using headings and subheadings.
* The letter 'Pp', we are learning how to form the letter correctly (clockwise).
* Grammar - we are learning about talking marks and how to use them in our writing.
* Blend - we are brainstorming words that have 'ip' inside them e.g. ship, trip, flip, slip etc...

In numeracy we are learning about -

* Multiplication - we are using the words 'groups of', 'times' and 'multiply'. We are using lots of hands on materials to solve 'groups of' problems.

In integrated we are learning about -

* Aeroplanes and helicopters.

Term 3 Week 7

In literacy we are learning about -

* Report writing - using headings and subheadings.
* The letter 'Qq', we are learning how to form the letter correctly (anticlockwise).
* Grammar - we are learning about verbs (doing words) and how to use them in our writing.
* Blend - we are brainstorming words that have 'im' inside them e.g. slim, dim, him etc...

In numeracy we are learning about -

* Area - making estimations about the area of different objects e.g. a table top and measuring it with informal objects e.g. playing cards.

In integrated we are learning about -

* Hot air balloons, parachutes and rockets.
